Muze Lounge & Terrasse: a tropical oasis above the Quartier des Spectacles

In the heart of downtown

The HONEYROSE hotel stands on Boulevard De Maisonneuve Ouest, right in the Quartier des Spectacles, a few steps from the Place des Arts venues and the Palais des congrès. On the 5th floor, Muze occupies a lounge with pink walls and velvet armchairs, extended by an open-air terrace: planters, a pergola, hanging chairs and seating areas among the downtown buildings. The decor has a deliberately tropical, very colourful feel that contrasts with the surrounding concrete.

A Mediterranean-inspired menu

The food is made for sharing: oysters by the piece, parmesan and truffle fries, burrata on Italian bread, boards of fine cheeses or charcuterie. For a proper meal, the menu offers salads, grilled salmon, a burger, octopus with chimichurri or grilled flank steak. At the bar, house cocktails focus on fruit – strawberry, peach, raspberry or passion fruit – and cost $19 to $23; three mocktails are offered at $15, alongside wines, beers and spirits.

Evenings that pick up the pace

Early in the evening, Muze remains a place for drinks, and the hotel presents it as its happy hour spot. When the sun goes down, DJs take over and the terrace takes on a party feel. During the winter break, the space can host private events on request.

Practical information

Muze is seasonal: it closes from October to April. During the season, it opens Thursday to Saturday from 5pm to 11.30pm; check the dates and opening hours before you go. For weekend evenings, it is best to book, on +1 514 656 8635. Expect to pay $19 to $23 for a cocktail, plus taxes and tip; a 15% tip is added for groups of eight or more. Place-des-Arts metro station (Green Line), a few minutes' walk away.
