O Bar and Dining: Sydney in 360 degrees
An entire floor that turns
Australia Square, the large cylindrical tower on George Street, is home on its 47th and top floor to Sydney's only revolving bar and restaurant. The outer ring turns slowly: a full rotation takes around 105 minutes, enough time to watch the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, the harbour and then the city-centre skyscrapers drift by. Run by the same family for more than twenty years, the venue is divided between a restaurant, a lounge bar, a private dining room and an event space, which also revolves.
Lounge bar and seasonal cooking
The lounge bar lines up more than 400 spirits and a menu of house cocktails, from A$29 to A$34 for the signatures, through to premium classics served with a touch of caviar. You can graze on small plates or have a meal there, while the restaurant offers seasonal menus showcasing Australian produce and an award-winning wine list. Every day from 4pm to 6pm, the “O'Clock” happy hour offers spritzes and wines at A$15.
