Rooftop 105: tacos and DJ sets above La Praille

A rooftop in a changing district

Near Carouge, in the municipality of Lancy, La Praille is a former industrial zone undergoing a complete transformation, where Geneva's stadium stands alongside warehouses and new buildings. At 105 Route des Jeunes, a former industrial building houses a coworking space; its top floor has been turned into a rooftop. Two wood-clad terraces, blue-and-white striped parasols, string lights and a red-and-white chequered tower make up the setting, while the view stretches over the rooftops to the Salève to the south and the Jura to the west. In the late afternoon, the golden light of the setting sun sets the Salève ablaze.

Mexican cuisine and house cocktails

The cuisine is inspired by Mexico: tacos on corn tortillas from CHF 7.50 to 8.50, including al pastor with pork from Jussy and quesabirria with beef served with its consommé, sharing platters, homemade guacamole and churros. At the bar, six signature cocktails made with pisco, mezcal or tequila cost CHF 18, the classics CHF 16 and the Aperol spritz CHF 13, while the house draught beer starts at CHF 6; Geneva wines complete the list. DJ sets, concerts and comedy nights liven up the venue, then the indoor nightclub takes over until the early hours.

Practical information

Open all year round from Thursday to Saturday from 6pm, until 2am on Thursday and 4am on Friday and Saturday; when it is cold, the terraces are covered and heated and an indoor bar welcomes guests. Table booking online; private hire available for groups and companies. The roof is wheelchair accessible by lift. The Lancy-Bachet Léman Express station and trams 12 and 18 are a few minutes' walk away; La Praille car park is close by.
