Gateway Gardens is a recent business district, built on a former American air base, on the edge of Frankfurt Airport and within the city's territory. The b'mine hotel is on Georg-Baumgarten-Straße; at the very top, on the 12th floor, THE ROOF brings together a restaurant, a bar and a lounge with a clean design, a fireplace and large picture windows.

The 170 m² terrace is the best vantage point: you can follow the planes taking off and landing opposite, and the Frankfurt skyline appears in the distance. At sunset, the place is ideal for an after-work drink or while waiting for a flight.

Fusion cuisine and Asian-inspired cocktails

The restaurant blends regional and international classics in a fusion cuisine, with a sharing menu, a business lunch on weekdays and a breakfast buffet open to visitors, served for longer at weekends. At the bar, the creations take their inspiration from Japan and Asia: yuzu, matcha, umeshu or soju, between €14 and €16 a cocktail, alongside a selection of Japanese spirits and carefully crafted non-alcoholic drinks.

Practical information

The bar opens every day from 6pm to 1am; the restaurant serves breakfast, lunch on weekdays, afternoon service and dinner from 6pm to 10pm. Booking recommended for the restaurant, online. No dogs. Paid underground car park in the hotel. S-Bahn S8 or S9 to Gateway Gardens station, then a few minutes' walk; Terminal 2 is about a quarter of an hour on foot.
