Shasha sur le Toit: a double terrace above the Garonne
A seasonal rooftop in Bacalan
On quai de Bacalan, a few hundred metres from the Cité du Vin, Shasha sur le Toit has set up on the eighth floor of a building in the neighbourhood. This sky-high bar opens in spring and closes its doors over the winter. Under pergolas draped with canvas and climbing plants, guests settle onto one of the two terraces.
The Chaban-Delmas bridge in full view
The eye follows the Garonne: on one side the tall pylons of the Chaban-Delmas bridge, on the other the quays stretching towards the centre and its rooftops. The silhouette of the Cité du Vin also stands out from the terrace. At the end of the day, the sun goes down over the river.
Cocktails and Mediterranean plates
The cocktail list remains affordable: Mojito or Caipirinha at €12, Negroni, Mules or Pornstar Martini at €13, Paloma and Espresso Martini at €15. Spritzes, wines by the glass from €7 and beers complete the offering. On the food side, there are Mediterranean-inspired plates to share (truffle croque-monsieur, carpaccio, roast camembert) or a land or sea board at €22.
DJ sets and themed nights
The venue is all about atmosphere: DJ sets several nights a week, “Golden Hours” on Saturdays and Sundays from 4pm, and themed nights throughout the summer. The terraces can also be hired privately for groups of 30 to 200 people, from weddings to corporate after-work events.
