Gina: la dolce vita facing the Cité du Vin
The roof of the Renaissance hotel
In Bassins à Flot, the Renaissance Bordeaux hotel, part of the Marriott group, has moved into former silos. On its ninth floor, Gina takes over the roof: an Italian restaurant, a bar and terraces stepped over several levels. The whole place is open to everyone, hotel guests or not. In winter, sliding glass walls let you enjoy the indoor dining room without losing the view.

From the terraces, the silhouette of the Cité du Vin rises directly opposite, with the Garonne and the Jacques-Chaban-Delmas bridge, while the Bassins à Flot docks and their boats stretch out on the other side. Sunset draws big crowds here in summer.
Italian cuisine, cocktails and brunch
Chef Franco Recce has created an Italian menu of antipasti, pasta and pizzas baked in the oven of the open kitchen. At weekends, brunch takes the form of a buffet: pastries, a mozzarella bar, lasagne, pizzas, oysters and homemade desserts, at €45 per adult and €15 per child aged 2 to 10. At the bar, the cocktail list, built around musical styles, offers most of its creations at €15, within a range of €14 to €18, plus mocktails at €11, along with snack-sized pizzas.
The programme follows the seasons: DJ sets on Fridays in season, sunset concerts and ticketed pool parties in summer, comedy shows in autumn and winter, and cooking classes every month. Outside these events, the panoramic pool is reserved for hotel guests. The terraces can be hired privately for cocktail receptions of up to 250 people.
Practical information
The bar is open all year round, every day from 5pm to midnight, with no reservations. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch on weekdays (noon–2pm), brunch on Saturdays and Sundays (noon–2.30pm) and dinner every day (7pm–10pm). Book online or on 05 33 52 13 67.
