The Edifício Itália rises on Avenida Ipiranga, a few steps from Praça da República and the Edifício Copan. Standing 165 metres tall, it has 46 levels. The Terraço Itália has occupied its top for more than half a century: the restaurant on the 41st floor, the bar on the 42nd. Wood panelling, chandeliers, leather armchairs and large windows make up a classic setting, entirely turned towards the view: a sea of buildings running off in every direction, dotted with lights from dusk.

The bar serves a cocktail list created for the house as well as great classics, from the Negroni to the Dry Martini, at around R$55 to R$60, with aperitivos to nibble on. From Monday to Saturday, musicians play in the evening, ranging from jazz and bossa nova to pop and Brazilian classics. In the restaurant, the menus change with the seasons and revisit the classics of Italian cuisine, served with an extensive wine cellar. The house also hosts weddings and corporate events.

Bar open Monday to Friday from 3pm to midnight, Saturday from 3pm to 1am, Sundays and public holidays from 3pm to 11pm, no booking. Restaurant Monday to Thursday from noon to midnight, until 1am on Friday and Saturday, until 11pm on Sunday; online booking up to two weeks in advance. “Esporte fino” dress code required: no tank tops, shorts or flip-flops. Every day from 3pm to 7pm, a visit to the outdoor terrace is offered with a ticket (R$68, one glass included), suspended in case of rain, which is frequent from December to March. Address: Av.
