Sixteen Antlers: the CBD seen from the 16th floor

On the corner of Ann Street and Roma Street, the Pullman & Mercure King George Square hotel is home, on its top level, to Sixteen Antlers, a bar open to everyone. You enter on the Ann Street side, opposite City Hall, and the lifts then take you straight up to the 16th floor. The terrace owes its name to its canopies, whose metal framework recalls a stag's antlers. Beneath these translucent shelters, sofas, high tables and lounge areas are spread out behind glass walls that reveal, across around 270 degrees, the City Hall clock tower, King George Square and the towers of the centre.

Cocktails and tapas at golden hour

Cocktails are the house speciality, with a list of signature creations and great classics, complemented by craft beers, Australian and international wines and premium spirits. The kitchen focuses on small sharing plates, tapas-style, made with local produce. The hour before sunset draws the biggest crowds; on Fridays and Saturdays, DJs take their place from 5pm. The bar also hosts birthdays, corporate evenings and private events, for up to around 180 guests.

Practical information

Open from Tuesday to Saturday in the late afternoon and evening, closed on Sundays and Mondays; exact hours should be checked before you go. Walk-ins are welcome subject to availability, but booking is recommended in the evening and at weekends; a minimum spend may apply to groups of ten or more. No strict dress code, though smart casual dress is appreciated in the evening. Accompanied minors are admitted until 9pm. Paid parking at the hotel or at the King George Square public car park, three minutes' walk away; 15% surcharge on public holidays.
