Lucha Rosa: tacos, agave and the rooftops of Downtown
A pink solarium atop the Moxy
The Moxy Washington, DC Downtown stands on K Street NW, between Mount Vernon Square and Franklin Square. On its 13th floor, Lucha Rosa brings together two spaces: a glass solarium whose retractable roof opens in fine weather, arranged around a long bar crowned by a cascade of pink flowers, and an open-air terrace furnished with pink sofas, embroidered cushions, woven poufs and large umbrellas. The decor draws on the colors of southern Mexico and the world of lucha libre. From the terrace, the view sweeps across the rooftops and buildings of Downtown, with the tip of the Washington Monument peeking out in the distance.
Tacos and agave
The light Mexican menu puts tacos front and center, perfect for sharing with friends. At the bar, a long selection of tequilas and mezcals forms the base of the margaritas and house cocktails, which blend agave, fruit, spices and floral notes.
On Friday and Saturday nights, DJs take over the decks and the mood turns to party.
