Sky Bar Saratoga: the Cathedral on the horizon, above the Paseo de Mallorca
A classic of Palma's rooftops
Opened in the 1960s on the Paseo de Mallorca, the Hotel Saratoga stands between the old town and the Sa Feixina park, a few steps from the Es Baluard museum and the shops of Avinguda de Jaume III. Its top floor, the 8th, is home to the Sky Bar, a terrace partly covered by a pergola, furnished with wicker armchairs and set tables, open to hotel guests and the public alike.
The view is one of the most complete in the city: the silhouette of the Cathedral above the rooftops of the historic centre, the port, the Mediterranean and, in the distance, the hills surrounding the bay. At sunset, the terrace fills up for aperitifs.
A sharing menu from lunch to dinner
The Sky Bar works as a bar-restaurant: at lunchtime, salads, burgers, club sandwich or pad thai; in the evening, a more refined menu of oysters, Iberian ham croquettes, corvina tiradito or beef tartare, to go with cocktails. Allow €35 to €40 per person on average for a meal. One floor below, the fine-dining restaurant L'Àtic serves dinner a few evenings a week, and a jazz club programmes concerts on Thursday evenings.
