The Nivia Born Boutique Hotel stands on Carrer dels Paraires, a quiet street in the Sant Nicolau district, between the Passeig del Born and Avenida Jaume III. Its roof has been turned into a terrace open to guests and visitors alike, with rattan armchairs, high tables, string lights and a few parasols.
The place is deliberately small and hushed, far from the city's lively rooftops. The view runs over the tiled roofs, the neighbouring bell towers and the trees of the Born, with the mountains in the distance; the hotel also highlights the view towards the Cathedral.
From breakfast to an evening drink
The terrace serves breakfast and brunch in the morning, a three-course lunchtime menu (starter, main course and dessert, with a glass of wine or water), then tapas, Mediterranean dishes and cocktails until the evening. The bar also welcomes those who come only for a drink. In fine weather, evenings with a DJ or live music are organised on certain nights.

Open every day: breakfast from 8am to 11am, brunch until noon, lunch from 12.30pm to 4pm, dinner until 10.30pm. Terrace service depends on the weather. Booking by telephone recommended, as the terrace has few tables; private hire possible for groups. Dogs welcome.
