Singular Rooftop: sunsets facing Sant Francesc

A 200 m² terrace in the heart of the old town

The Sant Francesc hotel occupies a 19th-century bourgeois townhouse on the Plaça de Sant Francesc, in the maze of lanes separating the Cathedral from the Sa Gerreria district. Its roof has been turned into a panoramic terrace of about 200 m², with a pool, a solarium, a lounge in the shade of a pergola and high tables for aperitifs.

The setting is striking: on one side the bell tower and Gothic façade of the Sant Francesc basilica, almost within arm's reach; on the other the Cathedral standing out above the tiled roofs, with the hills on the horizon. At dusk the monuments are lit up and the lanterns come on across the terrace.

Visitor access: summer evenings

During the day, the pool and bar are reserved for hotel guests. Outside visitors are welcome in the summer season, in the evening, from 7.30pm, subject to availability: it is best to arrive early. The cocktail list combines house creations at €18 and great classics at €15, spritzes, wines and champagnes, with bites to share, croquettes or tartare.

Practical information

Open to non-residents in summer only, in the evening from 7.30pm to 10.30pm (last order thirty minutes before closing), hours liable to vary with the weather. Closed to the public for the rest of the year. Smart dress recommended. Plaça de Sant Francesc 5, a five-minute walk from the Plaça de Cort and ten minutes from the Cathedral; pedestrian area, public car parks on the edge of the old town.
