OD Sky Bar: Dalt Vila across the harbour
On the roof of the Ocean Drive, in Marina Botafoch
Inspired by the architecture of South Beach in Miami, the Ocean Drive Ibiza hotel stands on the edge of Marina Botafoch, the marina set opposite the old town. Its Sky Bar occupies the roof terrace: one part sheltered by a louvred pergola, with its bar and chequered floor, extended by an open terrace with glass balustrades. Opposite, the ramparts and white houses of Dalt Vila tower over the port and the moored yachts; to the south, the view reaches as far as Formentera. At sunset, the old town turns from gold to evening lights.
Cocktails, dinner and music
People come up for a craft cocktail at aperitif time, or to dine facing the town as it lights up: the menu combines snacks to share and international dishes. The bar also follows a calendar of events, with DJs, live music and evenings mixing music and art, which make it a popular meeting place for locals and visitors alike. The roof can be booked privately for weddings, birthdays or corporate evenings.
Practical information
The Sky Bar stays open all year round, in winter as in summer; opening hours vary with the season and the events, so it is best to check them before you come. Tables can be booked for dinner. Access through the hotel, on the Marina Botafoch harbour, on the other side of the bay from the historic centre; Talamanca beach is just a few minutes' walk away.
