Maymanta: Peru on a rooftop in Santa Eulària

At the top of the Aguas de Ibiza

The Aguas de Ibiza hotel lines the promenade of Santa Eulària des Riu, on the east coast of the island, just above the marina. Its roof, on the sixth floor, is home to Maymanta: a glazed dining room under a reed pergola, a wooden terrace, an infinity pool and a bar. From here, the eye wanders over the moored boats, the bay of Santa Eulària, the hills and the Mediterranean. The restaurant is open to everyone, not just hotel guests, by reservation.

Peruvian cuisine and pisco

The menu draws on Peru's three regions, the coast, the Andes and the Amazon, with Mediterranean produce: ceviches, tiraditos, causas, anticuchos, wok and grill dishes, to share between several people. At the rooftop bar, pisco takes centre stage: pisco sours and house creations sit alongside the great classics. Expect about €16 for a classic cocktail and €21 for a house creation.

Practical information

Maymanta is seasonal: it opens in spring and closes towards the end of October, with evening service as the highlight. Booking recommended, especially for a sunset table, online or by phone. Access through the hotel lobby, Carrer de Salvador Camacho 14, a few steps from the promenade and the port of Santa Eulària des Riu; the town of Ibiza can be reached by car, taxi or bus.
