Sophie's: the rooftop of Harcourt Street
At the top of The Dean
The Dean is a boutique hotel on Harcourt Street, south of St Stephen's Green, in the Saint Kevin's area. A lift takes you to the top floor, where Sophie's occupies a broadly glazed room with white brick walls, extended by a bar and a terrace. The decor mixes banquettes, blond wood, leather and large green plants.
The view turns through 360°: roofs of the southern part of the centre, brick chimneys, the Iveagh Gardens and St Stephen's Green close by, and, on clear days, the line of the Dublin Mountains. On the terrace, large daybeds invite you to linger; in winter, blankets and heaters let you stay outside.
New York, Italy and Irish produce
The kitchen claims a New York-Italian spirit with Irish produce: wood-fired pizzas and fresh pasta at lunch, steaks and fish of the day in the evening, brunch at weekends with its own cocktail list. The roof bar serves signature cocktails, wines and beers. The venue can be hired, in part or in full.
