La Mirada: Es Vedrà opposite, on the roof of the Petunia
A roof turned towards the legendary islet
The Petunia hotel, part of the Beaumier collection, climbs up through the pines above the cove of Cala Carbó, on the south-west coast of the island, in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia. On its roof, La Mirada only comes alive at nightfall: a bar lit with lanterns, tables facing the open sea and, straight ahead, the silhouette of Es Vedrà and its neighbour Es Vedranell, resting on the sea. The sun sets over the sea, which makes this roof an ideal vantage point for an evening aperitif.
Bespoke cocktails and raw cuisine
The bar mixes bespoke cocktails, accompanied by cuisine based on raw produce, finely cut and enhanced with delicate textures: oysters, bites to share, raw fish and meat, vegetables from the garden. Lounge music played live accompanies the evening, in a hushed atmosphere.
Practical information
La Mirada opens in the evening only: the cocktail bar takes over in the late afternoon, and dinner is served afterwards. The place is restricted to over-16s and open to the public, not only to hotel guests. The season runs from roughly April to October, with Monday closing at the beginning and end of the season; the restaurant closes a little before the hotel. Booking recommended, online or by phone. Access by car or taxi via the Cala Carbó road; the town of Ibiza can be reached by road.
